The Playa de La Cachucha lies deep inside the Bay of Cádiz, close to the town center of Puerto Real. At more than 45 meters wide, its strip of sand is mainly used by families in the area. Its slight slope, calm water and mild temperatures create an ideal environment that younger children can truly enjoy. During the off season, there is a boating channel in the center of the beach which allows for the entry and exit of non-motorized boats. It can be accessed from the Carretera de Circunvalación (Ring Road) or through the Rivera del Muelle and the promenade. Separated by 300 meters breakwater, the beach has a second section known as "La Media Luneta," next to the sailing club.
