This trail connects the town of Algodonales with the Los Nacimientos Recreational Area, crossing the Sierra de Líjar and offering magnificent views of the Sierra de Cádiz.
The route begins with a climb up the Senda de la Fuentecilla, and after about 3 km the trail joins a forest track among holm oaks, strawberry trees and junipers. For the final stretch, the trail winds through the spectacular Canalizo gorge in a refreshing, cool, moist descent.
The large, white rocky outcrops make this a very suitable place for observing large birds of prey and even, with a bit of luck, the elusive mountain goat.
