The path runs through the surroundings of this river and very near the village of Jimena de la Frontera. It allows us to identify a form of clean yet traditional source of energy, the mills. We come across an enormous water canal, el Cao, built at the end of the 18th century to power an iron foundry known as the Fábrica de Bombas, which helped in the siege of Gibraltar and was subsequently restructured into a wheat mill.
